From industrial estate to green residential area

The Klaprozenbuurt is located between the Northern IJ banks (NDSM, Buiksloterham) and the older neighbourhoods in Amsterdam-Noord. Located between Klaprozenweg, Zijkanaal I with its harbour for houseboats, Buiksloterdijk and the Bloemenbuurt neighbourhood.

Now, the area mainly has identity as a business park. In the future, 2,000 houses will be built in the Klaprozenbuurt. Businesses will also return there after the transformation of the entire district, unless they are environmentally harmful. Between the buildings, on and around them, there will be plenty of greenery. So the business park becomes a green residential area!

The ground floor on Klaprozenweg will house shops and businesses, making it a lively street. The Klaprozenbuurt will also get two new supermarkets, new catering establishments, two primary schools and health and welfare facilities. In short, a versatile residential area with greenery and comfort!
